Hello!
Here’s your weekly brief of Executive with a Cause, a list of the people, ideas and technology I’m exploring for Not for Profit leaders.
In this Edition: Business continuity risk caused by vendors, Australian kids’ photos found in AI training data set, Why you should avoid public WiFI… and More!
What I’m reading:
- Google is using AI to predict floods—and sending cash to people before disaster hits
- Apple’s best new iOS 18 privacy and security features for iPhones
- Photos of Australian kids have been found in a massive AI training data set. What can we do?
- Why you should avoid using public WiFi, especially without a VPN
What I’m thinking about:
How I’m using AI:
Quick how to instructions to configure software – I’ve been testing some new CRM software. It’s not the most intuitive to set up. So, I’ve spent way too much time on the vendor’s site trying to figure out how to do so.
Enter AI – instead of scrolling through pages and pages of user guides, it was much faster to ask Copilot how to do something. It pointed me to the step-by-step instructions I needed immediately.
Note: This only worked for a portion of my queries as some of the advice was out of date – probably due to the online user guides also being out of date.
Where I’ll be speaking:
