Hello!
Here’s your weekly brief of Executive with a Cause, a list of the people, ideas and technology I’m exploring for Not for Profit leaders.
In this Edition: Could your NFP survive a 3rd party cybersecurity breach like Qantas? Your Dad’s in a scam video! AI as therapists? …and More!
What I’m thinking about:
- Could your NFP survive a 3rd party cybersecurity breach like Qantas? – We don’t have a lot of choices for airlines in Australia. So, Qantas may not lose many customers over this cybersecurity breach. But what if this happened to your organisation?
What I’m reading:
- Study warns of ‘significant risks’ in using AI therapy chatbots – People are using generic AI tools as therapists, and it’s not a good thing.
- Ransomware gang attacks German charity that feeds starving children – a reminder that Not for Profits are not immune to ransomware.
- How Some Nonprofits Are Turning to AI As a Tool for Good – Most AI models have been developed in the US. This NFP is tackling the current language and ethnic nuances of non-English-speaking countries by creating their own AI tools.
- ‘Your dad’s being used in these videos’: Scammers are turning to AI and TikTok to fake animal rescue videos – Can you imagine seeing your fake self in a scam video?
