Charity fined for destroying personal records, You’re sharing too much on social media… and More!

Executive with a Cause

Hello!

Here’s your brief of the people, ideas and technology I’m exploring for Not for Profit leaders.

In the US, today is Thanksgiving (my favourite holiday of the year). I moved to Australia over twenty years ago, and as an expression of thanksgiving, I want to share how grateful I am for the beautiful people, life and opportunities I have had since I moved here.

Thanks to you, my newsletter subscribers, for being a part of it.

In this Edition: You’re exposing your NFP to unnecessary cybersecurity risks if your MSP isn’t doing this, Charity fined for destroying personal records and…More!

What I’m thinking about:

  • Unnecessary Cybersecurity Risks – Almost all Not for Profits outsource their IT support to Managed Service Providers (MSPs). However, from my experience of reviewing organisations’ IT infrastructure and systems, too many of you are exposing yourself to unnecessary cybersecurity risks by not buying more of their services.

What I’m reading:

Learning opportunities:

  • AI Adoption Strategy “Live” Workshop for Not for Profits –   Sydney (9 December) or Melbourne (10 December)  – Enrolment closes on 3 December!

If you enjoyed it, please forward this to friends and colleagues. All past newsletters can also be found here.
