Hello!
Here’s your brief of the people, ideas and technology I’m exploring for Not for Profit leaders.
In this Edition: Front door cybersecurity risks, Social Network for AI Agents, Microsoft LinkedIn Group… and More!
What I’m thinking about:
Front door cybersecurity risks
From my experience working with Not for Profits, the biggest risks don’t come from sophisticated attacks. Instead, they come from what I call the “front door,” or the small, everyday decisions users make.
Here are some of the front door risks and how you can mitigate them.
What I’m reading:
- Humans welcome to observe: This social network is for AI agents only – It’s fascinating to watch this network. Just remember that AI agents only mimic conversation patterns (for now), and this feed has already shown signs of human manipulation.
- When your greatest cybersecurity threats are from the inside. Here’s what’s happening when unhappy employees are offered bribes to access systems.
- Deloitte has released their State of AI Report. Amongst their findings is that AI pilot fatigue is real when there is no strategy.
- Beware of the most productive AI Agent you do NOT want your staff to install aka, Moltbot – it’s brilliant but an absolute cybersecurity nightmare.
- Here’s a great local LinkedIn Group for Microsoft super users. I especially like their regular newsletter by Matt Burr that lists training opportunities.
Quote that made me think twice:
“We do not want to destroy your business, we only want financial compensation. Treat this as a sudden tax on your security negligence,” said Hacker group 0APT on its darknet leak site.
If you enjoyed it, please forward this to friends and colleagues. All past newsletters can also be found here.
