Hello!
Here’s your weekly brief of Executive with a Cause, a list of the people, ideas and technology I’m exploring for Not for Profit leaders.
In this Edition: FIFA World Cup player bonuses can change lives, Microsoft cybersecurity alerts, how should Not for Profits use AI …and MORE!
What I’m reading:
- How the FIFA Women’s World Cup player bonuses can change lives – but only if they receive it. P.S. Go Matildas!
- Critical Microsoft security updates released this week – if your computer has not requested a restart, check with your IT team.
- Tenders open in the ACT for child and family service providers – closes 28 September.
- Beware! Hackers have been posing as IT support on Microsoft Teams to breach multiple organisations, including Not for Profits worldwide.
What I’m thinking about: IT in Plain English
- How should Not for Profits use AI? In a recent Not for Profit webinar with Chloe Devin of WebVine, I was asked, “My CEO won’t make any decisions until we see what happens with AI. What should we do?” Here is my advice and also warnings about sharing sensitive information with public AI tools now.
P.S. Chat with me about IT and Not for Profits on Threads or X (formerly Twitter) @tvendange.
